HANDS-ON REFRIGERATION SYSTEM SERVICING and

EPA (or R-410A) CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP

This 2-day workshop is designed specifically for maintenance technicians who are responsible for the preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair of refrigeration systems used in air conditioning equipment, commercial refrigeration systems such as walk-in and reach-in equipment, and appliances.

The first segment of the workshop is on the fundamental principles technicians need to understand about refrigeration systems. The second segment provides a hands-on learning experience in which workshop attendees work with actual refrigeration systems, learning how to connect gauges, troubleshoot system problems, recover refrigerant, and evacuate and recharge. The final segment includes study and preparation for a multiple-choice certification exam. Attendees may choose to certify for EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling or for R-410A refrigeration systems.

In addition to a take-home workbook that is used during the workshop and can later be used as a reference on the job, participants will also take their EPA refrigerant handling study manual with them at the conclusion of the workshop.
