Heating Equipment Servicing and

Combustion Analysis Certification Workshop

Workshop Fee: $345.00

 UPCOMING WORKSHOP DATES & LOCATIONS:

September 13th, 14th & 15th, 2010, Nashville, TN

September 22nd, 23rd & 24th, 2010, Mahnomen, MN

This workshop is designed for technicians who are responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of LP or natural gas furnaces, electric furnaces, and heat pumps. Information on how to properly install, maintain, and troubleshoot gas and electric furnaces and heat pumps is covered in step-by-step detail. The topics of proper air flow in heating equipment, how to identify and solve duct problems, safety, and proper use of test and service equipment related to servicing gas and electric furnaces and heat pumps are demonstrated. This workshop is appropriate for both those maintenance personnel who are experienced in furnace and heat pump servicing, as well as those who work in a non-HVACR department and want to cross train. It is also appropriate for HVACR installers who want to move up to service.

An interactive, take-home workbook that visually and descriptively explains how to test components, use wiring diagrams, and diagnose heating equipment problems is issued to each participant for use during the workshop, also serves as a reference manual for use later on the job. This workshop also includes information on the installation and testing of carbon monoxide alarms, and an in-depth study of the processes of carbon monoxide generation and combustion analysis, as well as the proper use of test instruments to test for carbon monoxide levels in both ambient and CO Air Free environments. At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees will take a 50-question, multiple-choice combustion analysis technician certification exam approved by COSA (Carbon Monoxide Safety Association).
