This hands-on workshop provides real-world training in hands-on wiring and equipment maintenance and plumbing system maintenance and repairs. Adhering to workplace safety standards is emphasized throughout, and integrated into each hands-on procedure. All necessary tools, materials and test equipment needed to accomplish all wiring projects, troubleshooting and test procedures, and plumbing projects are provided. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own test equipment, wiring diagrams, or specific equipment information for evaluation and review by the instructor. Interactive, take-home workbooks that serve as a reference manual for use later on the job are issued to each participant.

Jim Johnson has both a formal education and real-world, hands-on work experience in facility and equipment maintenance. Adult education is his specialty, and he consistently receive high marks for his ability to explain and simplify concepts, allowing technical and maintenance personnel to put the information they learn to work in a practical way in their job.
