CARBON MONOXIDE AND COMBUSTION ANALYSIS

TECHNICIAN TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

Carbon Monoxide is an odorless, tasteless, and invisible toxic gas produced by the process of combustion in fuel-burning furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and appliances such as gas ranges and gas-operated clothes dryers. In this two-day workshop, facility maintenance staff and HVAC technicians will be instructed in the processes of combustion analysis, burner operation and troubleshooting, working with fuel-oil and natural and LP gases. At the conclusion of the instructional segment of the workshop, participants can be certified through a nationally recognized program. The emphasis throughout this workshop is on proper Preventive Maintenance practices, burner troubleshooting and adjustment for maximum safety and efficiency, and the use of state-of-the-art test devices to perform complete combustion analysis procedures. Detailed, take-home manuals that explain step-by-step how to evaluate fuel-burning equipment and measure carbon monoxide levels in residential and commercial environments are issued to each participant for use during the workshop, and can be used as a reference and service manual later on the job.
