Facility and Maintenance Managers and Supervisors….
A facility maintenance manager faces a variety of challenges in keeping residential housing, offices, health clinics and schools, and the equipment and mechanical systems in those buildings, safe and operating properly. One of your challenges as a maintenance supervisor is providing training opportunities for maintenance technicians and finding a way to fit the expense into the operating budget.
Training can be an extensive investment for an organization. A workshop fee of $300 or $400 is only the tip of the expense iceberg when travel to "convention cities" like Las Vegas or other larger cities are factored into the total cost. Often, facility maintenance supervisors find that the final cost of a $300 workshop triples due to travel, food and hotel expenses. And that often means that only one or two members of a maintenance staff can attend an out-of-town workshop. The Technical Training Associates on-site workshop program can help you provide training for an entire staff and cut the expense of training a maintenance technician by 50% or more.

PROVIDE HANDS-ON TRAINING AT YOUR SITE FOR A FLAT-RATE PRICE, OR TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR VALUE-ADDED PER PERSON PRICING SYSTEM FOR YOUR GROUP
There are two ways in which TTA presents on-site training. One way is a flat rate price system and the other way is with the pricing on a per-person basis.
Under the flat rate pricing system, an agency or facility can bring an administrative workshop to their location, exclusively for their staff, for as little as $2,000. Our standard flat rate fee for technical and mechanical workshops is $3,500. Special pricing is available for multiple workshops and for certain locations. Our flat rate fee allows for the attendance of up to 15 staff members. And, under our flat rate system, the per person fee for each attendee over 15 is only $100.
Under the per person pricing system, a workshop fee is assessed for each person in attendance. Fees vary depending on the workshop, and are discounted for the “host” organization, which may be registering a number fewer than 15. Under this system, while one organization acts as a host, we will notify other agencies or facilities (other agencies, housing authorities, schools, hospitals, etc…) in the area and invite them to attend, and register them on an individual basis.
When we present a workshop exclusively for an organization on-site, tailored to their staff specifically, the workshop timing is one full day, 8AM to 5PM
When a workshop is presented as open to other agencies, the workshop timing varies depending on the workshop topic. One example is on a two-day schedule from 9AM to 4PM on the first day and from 9AM to Noon on the second day. Other examples may be 2 or 3 full days.
If an organization has approximately 15 persons attending, the exclusive on-site for their staff only is a cost-effective way to provide a training experience for the entire staff. Also, we can work with agencies, housing authorities, and other facilities to use their equipment as part of the hands-on portion of the workshop.
In our Refrigerator & Appliance Servicing Workshop, for example, if an organization that has a number of refrigerators that are in need of repair and stored in their warehouse, these appliances can be used in the workshop, affording the additional benefit of getting the appliances repaired providing the necessary parts are on hand or can be obtained.
In our HVACR Equipment Servicing or Gas Furnace Maintenance workshops, we can inspect, evaluate, and, when applicable, accomplish necessary preventive maintenance and repairs.
If you have a need for a specific workshop, please click here to send us an e-mail and we’ll get back to you with the information you need in planning your on-site training workshops.
When you do the simple math, you'll find that taking advantage of our on-site workshops will provide you with a significant saving on the workshop fees alone. And, when you consider the extra savings related to vehicle or flight travel, meals, hotels, and other travel-related expenses, you can provide training for an entire maintenance staff for the same cost of sending only a few technicians to an out-of-town workshop.

Down-to-earth, real-world hands-on training that simplifies concepts, eliminates mysteries, and allows a technician the opportunity to work with both real equipment and specially designed training modules to practice and perfect their hands-on skills in the areas of refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting, furnace servicing and building maintenance. When we come to your location, we bring all the necessary tools, test equipment, supplies, and workstations needed to accomplish the training. We can also work with your equipment. And each person attending the workshop is issued an interactive workbook to use during the workshop, and it serves as a reference manual for use on the job, long after the training workshop is over.
